KPA safety consultant and District Manager, Joe Souza, talked to the Sacramento Bee about how employers will have to navigate CalOSHA’s most recent updates to COVID-19 workplace safety. The changes will align California with the CDC’s guidance for face masks and fully vaccinated individuals but will pose some complicated questions for employers’ updating their customer and employee policies.
As businesses consider making changes, they should consider how they’ll handle vaccination status for all employees, HIPAA, and anyone refusing to disclose their vaccination, and how they’ll enforce their policies.
