This training describes the epidemiologic important pathogens in the long-term setting, as well as emerging ones. It will define key steps needed to create an effective and successful environmental cleaning and disinfection program in the long-term care setting, including risk assessment, needed policies and protocols, and staff education and competency. The properties of ideal disinfecting products will also be discussed. Length: 60 minutes 1 CEU. Approval codes will be avail on the course certificate upon completion of the course.
