The Reliant Group was established in 1989 as a small family-owned company called Flo-CO2, Inc. Now the Reliant Group has branched out into multiple different companies that are able to supply carbon dioxide in many forms and fashions. Reliant Holdings provides service in many different states across the United States and Mexico. The main product lines include bulk food and medical grade carbon dioxide, restaurant and convenience store mini-bulk carbon dioxide, oilfield grade carbon dioxide for oilfield markets, as well as dry ice.

What challenge were you trying to solve before using Novara and what stood out about Flex?
Bill Woods: This is the 2nd company I’m with that uses Flex. The first company, I was the one responsible for seeking out Flex. Challenges I was trying to address included document facility inspections, OSHA tracking, and training. The company I’m now with, Reliant Holdings, has been using Flex prior to me joining. I was told the challenge Reliant was trying to solve is how to effectively issue in track training.
How has Novara changed the way you or your team operates?
Bill Woods: Our team uses the Flex platform to input various data, including equipment inspections, incident reporting, facility surveys. Once the data is in the system, we now can extract it and make decisions based on data our teammates put into Novara rather than making decisions out of gut feel or speculation.
What results or improvements have you seen?
Bill Woods: At Reliant, we are seeing better engagement from our teammates, reporting incidents, lessons learned, and acting on action items since the system’s really easy to use. Additionally, our training compliance has achieved over 90% completion rate.
What would you tell another company considering Novara?
Bill Woods: There are many EHS software platforms out there in the market today. Do your research and determine what you’re trying to address or solve. I will say this though, Novara’s Flex platform is really robust and has many solutions. In addition, Novara’s developmental team is always adding different modules to address current needs.
