Inspection Management Moved a Full Level
Of everything in the Fall reports, the inspection management result carries the most interesting insight.
A quarter ago, reviewers placed Novara Flex in the High Performer band of that category; this quarter they moved it into the Leader quadrant and, for the first time, moved it into the Leader quadrant among enterprise reviewers as well. Movement of that kind between consecutive reports is uncommon, since it requires both satisfaction and market presence to shift in the same direction at once.
G2 applies specific criteria before a product qualifies for the inspection management category at all. The product has to let teams define, schedule, and track inspection tasks; deliver structured workflows for running them; capture data in multiple formats and from multiple sources; and flag nonconformance when it appears. Every requirement on that list describes work that happens before an incident, which is a fundamentally different job from documenting one afterward. Plenty of systems function as inspection archives. Far fewer surface a problem while there is still time to act on it, and the category criteria are written to tell the two apart.
Contractor Management Is New Ground
Novara Flex carried no rating in contractor management last quarter and entered the category this quarter with Easiest Admin, a recognition drawn from G2’s satisfaction indexes rather than the Grid® Reports. Rather than look at the length of its feature list, it measures the ongoing effort required to configure and maintain a system, as well as how fast the software becomes valuable.
Anyone who has owned contractor compliance will recognize why that measure matters more here than in most categories. Prequalification, certificates of insurance, training records, site-specific orientations, and expiration tracking across dozens of subcontractors rarely belong to someone whose title includes the words “contractor compliance.” The work usually lands on a safety manager who absorbed it because it had to go somewhere, and it competes for attention with incident investigations, training deadlines, and whatever the regulator asked for that month. Under those conditions, software that demands constant administration gets quietly abandoned and the spreadsheet comes back.
Enterprise Depth Without Enterprise Overhead
One result in the reports deserves attention even though it did not change this quarter.
Enterprise and mid-market buyers often tend to grade EHS software in opposite directions, which is why so few vendors satisfy both at once. Large organizations need depth: multiple sites, overlapping regulators, business units with conflicting requirements, and reporting that holds up when corporate asks a question nobody planned for. Smaller teams need close to the reverse — a system one person can run without a dedicated administrator, an IT ticket queue, or a professional services invoice every time a form needs changing. Software engineered around the first set of needs tends to bury the second.
Novara Flex has been named a Leader in both segments of the EHS grid in Summer 2026 and again in Fall 2026. Holding both across two consecutive reports says more than either badge would on its own.
